Example answer
Sample response
“I use a three-circle model: understand the business, understand the team, find where I can add value in the first month. For the business I read everything — old decks, board packs, customer interviews. For the team I do 1:1s with everyone in the first two weeks and ask the same four questions: what's working, what's not, what would you do if you were me, and what should I never break. By week four I have enough context to identify one thing I can meaningfully help with. I then do that one thing very well and visibly, and it opens the next door.”

Use the STAR method
Structure your answer as: Situation (brief context), Task (your specific responsibility), Action (what you personally did), Result (the quantified outcome). Most strong interview answers follow this pattern.
